Camila Cabello is quashing rumors she’s engaged to beau Shawn Mendes.
“He has not [asked me to marry him] and I am not engaged,” the “Don’t Go Yet Singer” said Thursday on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” after she was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand.
“I swear to God, I don’t know what hand the engagement ring goes on, so sometimes I’ll just, like, put it on ring finger,” Cabello, who is 24 years old, told Fallon “I mean, I’d actually like you to enlighten me. Which hand is the engagement hand? Because I don’t know.”

The “Señorita” singer further explained that both her parents “lost their rings,” giving her even more reason to be naive to proper engagement ring protocol.
Cabello and Mendes, 23, have been dating since the summer of 2019.
Last September, there were rumors that the couple may have split, but Cabello promptly quieted the rumor mill that time again by singing her beau’s praises.
