Joe Biden’s Granddaughter Naomi Biden Marries Peter Neal at the White House
Naomi Biden is married!
The 28-year-old granddaughter of President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden married fiance Peter Neal on Saturday morning (November 19) on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC.
Naomi and Peter’s wedding was a historical event – it was the first wedding at the White House in nearly a decade, and the first-ever for a grandchild of a sitting president.
Naomi Biden was walked down the aisle by both her father and her mother, a source close to the family tells PEOPLE. Also, in another sentimental nod to Naomi’s closeness with her mother, the bride carried Lilies of the Valley, a tradition in her mother’s family.
The all-day celebration will continue with a White House luncheon for the wedding party and close family members, followed by an evening reception at the executive mansion with dessert and dancing.
According to two sources, Naomi and Neal currently live on the third floor of the White House residence — one flight up from the First Family’s main living quarters — and the same place Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, called home for the eight years of her son-in-law’s administration.
Naomi – who is the eldest daughter of President Biden’s son Hunter Biden and ex-wife Kathleen Buhle – and Peter got engaged in September 2021.
