Chrissy Teigen says Meghan Markle is a truly “kind” person IRL.
The supermodel, 35, who has defended the Duchess of Sussex multiple times from online trolls, said their friendship extends beyond the screen.
“She’s been so kind to me ever since we connected,” Teigen said Tuesday on the “Watch What Happens Live After Show.” “She had written me about baby Jack and loss and she is really wonderful … and just as kind as everyone says she is.”
Right before the Winfrey interview aired in early March, allegations came out that Markle had bullied staff members before she and Harry left their senior royal duties last year — which Markle, 39, shot down as a “calculated smear campaign” executed ahead of the interview.
Teigen told “WWHL” host Andy Cohen that she has spoken to Markle since the Duchess’ revealing interview.
“… You look at everything and you’re like, ‘My God, what is actually wrong with people where they have to make this person [Markle] out to be so malicious or so crazy?’ when it’s just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are,” Teigen said. “So yeah, she’s a really wonderful girl.”
