Taylor Swift’s Evermore spends second week atop Billboard 200 chart following album’s CD release
Taylor Swift’s Evermore album remained at number one on the Billboard 200 chart Sunday.
The follow-up companion to August’s Folklore debuted straight at the top a week ago and continued its success thanks to the album’s CD release on December 18, Billboard.com reported.
It has become one of the highest-selling albums of the year following its December 11 release.
The only other musical artists to achieve two number one albums this year were K-pop mainstays BTS and rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Folklore has been nominated for the Album of the Year Award at the upcoming Grammy Awards, and the release’s lead single Cardigan has received a nomination for Song of the Year.
Like Folklore, Swift’s Evermore was written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
Jack Antonoff also worked as a songwriter and producer.
