Ahmet Melih Yılmaz, known for his character “Crocodile Celil” in the TV series Çukur, announced
that he was a transgender person by changing gender. The actress, who took the name Meli Bendeli
in her new life, was a guest of Selim Akar’s program broadcast on Youtube.
Bendeli spoke candidly about her experiences in the process of gender reassignment.

Stating that she does not have a female identity yet, the actress also said that she wants to go to
Thailand and have a replacement surgery when her financial situation allows.
Meli Bendeli continued her speech with the following words:
I don’t have a female identity yet, it’s okay abroad, but I have to join the boards in Turkey. I don’t want to be lost in the darkness of transvestism, to be lovers to the men who come at night. If possible, if I had money, I would go to Thailand and get this job done. This place is so tiring. If I had circumstances, I wouldn’t have left this job unfinished, I’m tired of transvestite.
