The mystery of the name of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s dog has finally been revealed.

The royal couple adopted a black Labrador retriever in August 2018. And now, we now know that dog’s real name—Pula.

According to People exclusive, : Harry and Meghan  say that Pula’s name comes from the official currency of Botswana, which is the country where Meghan and Harry went on their first trip together when they’d just started dating. The word also means “rain” in Setswana

.The couple went on a romantic camping trip in the country to celebrate the Duchess’s 36th birthday, six weeks after their first date in 2016. . Clearly, Botswana is very meaningful to the pair as Meghan also recreated their first trip together for Harry’s 35th birthday last year and she  wanted to bring that happy place to him on his day so she set up a tent, got sleeping bags, cooked dinner and recreated Botswana where they fell in love.”
