Jessie J is expecting a child, a year after she tragically suffered a miscarriage.
The 34-year-old pop star made the announcement on Instagram Friday with a montage of clips of her growing baby bump.
“I am so happy and terrified to finally share this. Please be gentle with me 
,” Jessie captioned the emotional video, which had her song “Sunflower” playing over it.
“Please be gentle with me,” the 34-year-old continued, “Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”
Back in November 2021, Jessie shared she had suffered a miscarriage.
The “Bang Bang” singer shared via Instagram that after going for her third scan at the doctor’s office, she was told there was “no longer a heartbeat 
.”
Jessie also gave some insight at the time into her motherhood journey.
“I decided to have a baby on my own,” she explained. “Because it’s all I’ve ever wanted and life is short. To get pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget and I know I will have again.”
