After infamously ending her engagement to Mark Cuevas on the Netflix reality show by saying “I don’t” at the altar, Batten, 34, accepted a proposal from her boyfriend, Benjamin McGrath, on Sept. 10.
The TV personality said that McGrath, 35, popped the question at Temecula, California’s Akash Winery, where the pair later celebrated with family members and close friends
Batten — who has been dating the doctor for a year-and-a-half — said that his proposal came as a total surprise.
“So I got in the car with my dad and my stepmom to head to the winery, and I could tell my dad was prolonging things,” she told People. “I think Ben was still setting up.”
Batten said that she had a feeling McGrath would be getting down on one knee once she saw him standing in the middle of an aisle of grapes decorated with white rose petals. Moments later, he asked for her hand in marriage with a round brilliant ring from Mark Broumand.
She responded to the big question by reciting a line from the couple’s favorite TV show, “Suits.”
After toasting to her engagement with loved ones, Batten plans to share the happy news with some of her “Love Is Blind” castmates
