Drake releases new album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’

Drake has released his seventh studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, just hours after he unexpectedly announced it.

The new LP includes 14 songs, and was executive produced by Drake, longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s manager Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre, and 2022 Grammy winner Black Coffee. 21 Savage is the album’s sole credited featured artist, appearing on the closing “Jimmy Cooks.” The album is dedicated to the late Virgil Abloh, and, on Apple Music, it is categorized under the dance genre.

The album features Drake mostly singing instead of rapping.

Drake, here in 2021, has released new music.
“I let my humbleness turn to numbness at times letting time go by knowing I got the endurance to catch it another time,” he wrote in an editor’s note on his Apple Music artist page. “I work with every breath in my body cause it’s the work not air that makes me feel alive.”
Initial reaction on the internet was divided, with some praising Drake for mixing it up on “Honestly, Nevermind” and others not really feeling it.
Drake released his sixth solo studio album, Certified Lover Boy, in September of 2021. It was initially slated to arrive in January of that year, but it was delayed following surgery for a knee injury Drake sustained in the fall of 2020.
